Understanding TCM

If you've always wondered what are the more credible Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products available in the sea of pills out there, it may be a good idea to check out an upcoming expo coming up next month.

Organised by the Singapore TCM Organisations Committee and the Singapore TCM college, the inaugural Traditional Medicine (TM) Expo will feature exhibitors from countries like China, Japan and the US.

It will also showcase made-in-Singapore products from labels including Eu Yan Sang, Haw Par Healthcare, China Tangshan Chinese Pharmaceutical and Tai Tong Ah.

These homegrown brands, who have developed products that are proudly Singaporean - like Tiger Balm and Double Prawn Brand Herbal Oil - will be highlighting well-loved favourites at the expo.

Trade visitors looking to gain a deeper understanding of the latest developments and regulatory systems for TCM will be able to learn more from the panel of speakers at the 11/2 day event.

Speakers include representatives from the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore and the various health ministries around the region.
