Tips to prevent runner's knee

Thinking of taking up running or preparing for a marathon? Here are some tips to prevent runner's knee.

  • Cross train to even out the wear on your joints
  •  

  • Have active rest: do other cardio exercises instead of running on your rest days
  • Read related:

  •  

  • If you do event runs such as marathons, plan your training calender to coincide with the events. It is not practical to train and compete all year round
  •  

  • Take recovery and rest as part of the training
