He must shed 15kg to be allowed home
>KUCHING, MALAYSIA: He is only 5 years old, but already weighs a whopping 48kg.

Now, Mohamad Ainol Fitri has landed in hospital due to difficulty in breathing.

The boy, from Betong -- about 280km from here -- was admitted to the Sarawak Hospital's paediatric ward where doctors diagnosed a lung infection.

Ainol's father, Paryadi Kasiran, 32, said his son was coughing for a few days and could not breathe normally.

"I thought he was only suffering from a normal fever, but we were informed later that his condition was considered serious.

"So far, he is responding to treatment but still breathes with the aid of oxygen tubes.

"Doctors told me that he needs to reduce at least 15kg before he can be discharged."

Paryadi said Mohamad Ainol had developed the habit of "eating all the time" but not in huge quantities. "His favourites are burgers and roti canai.

"I'm still wondering how to change his habit," said Paryadi, a teacher at SM Teknik Betong.
