Debate refusing life support
Tue, Nov 04, 2008
my paper

I REFER to the debate on euthanasia.

Should life-support systems be made available to those who are nearing death (regardless of cause)?

In the days when there were no such means of life support, those people would have died naturally.

Maybe the debate should instead centre on whether patients can refuse being placed on a life-support system in the event of any illness, and choose to die naturally.
