>MEXICO CITY, April 27, 2009 (AFP) - How far swine flu is believed to have spread, including confirmed cases, suspected infections and false alarms.

MEXICO
The number of confirmed and suspected swine flu deaths has hit 103, according to Mexican Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova, with about 400 people in hospital and 1,614 now under observation.

UNITED STATES
Twenty cases have been confirmed: eight in New York City, seven in California, two in Texas, two in Kansas and one in Ohio.

CANADA
Six cases confirmed among individuals who had travelled to Mexico. None were hospitalized and all have recovered, according to health authorities.

NEW ZEALAND
Nine students and a teacher from an Auckland high school who returned from Mexico on Saturday have tested positive for influenza A and were likely to have swine flu, according to Health Minister Tony Ryall. Confirmation was expected within the week.

COLOMBIA
Nine people have been placed under observation after they arrived from Mexico with flu-like symptoms, Bogota's deputy health chief Edgar Zambrano said.

SPAIN
Eight suspected cases quarantined after recently returning from Mexico.

BRITAIN
Two people admitted to hospital in Scotland after experiencing "mild flu-like symptoms" following their return from Mexico this week. A British Airways cabin crew steward admitted to hospital with flu-like symptoms following a flight from Mexico City tested negative.

BRAZIL
One man isolated at a medical center on suspicion of carrying the virus.

AUSTRALIA
Two women, one of whom had recently returned from Mexico and the other from the United States, cleared of swine flu after displaying symptoms of the illness.

FRANCE
Four people tested for swine flu after recently returning from the Americas tested negative.

ISRAEL
One man hospitalized upon returning from Mexico on suspicion of contracting the potentially fatal strain.
