12 under home quarantine orders

TWELVE people, including six foreigners, have been placed under home quarantine orders since the rule to isolate those who had been to Mexico recently kicked in on Monday.

Four received their orders just yesterday while two will be allowed to venture out of their homes from today.

The quarantine orders are for seven days, dating from the day the travellers left Mexico. They will remain in place even though Singapore is scaling back its alert level from orange to yellow on Monday.
