ATHENS - Greece on Wednesday reported its third swine flu case as health officials called a fresh emergency meeting while stressing the situation was under "complete control."
The health ministry said a 21-year-old Greek man who returned from Edinburgh on Monday had tested positive for the A(H1N1) strain of the virus and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Thessaloniki.
He was on the same plane as another 21-year-old man whose infection was confirmed on Tuesday night.
"There is no reason for concern as the situation is under complete control," the ministry said in a statement.
Both cases are reportedly mild, state TV NET said.
Greece's first confirmed swine flu case, a 19-year-old man studying in the United States, was released from hospital in Athens on Saturday after seven days.
