Thailand confirmed on Sunday that a Thai man who just returned from the US had been infected by the new Influenza. He became the fourth Thai infected by the flu that has already hit 53 countries, killing 99.

Thai Public Health Minister Witthaya Kaewparadai said the 50-year-old patient arrived Bangkok around midnight of May 25 and was admitted to a Bangkok hospital with slight fever and sore throat.

Lab test showed that he was infected by the A-type (H1N1). He and five persons in his family were given oseltamivir for five days to treat the flu, the minister said. He is now recovered and allowed to return home.
