26 more new H1N1 cases confirmed

The Health Ministry has confirmed another 26 cases of H1N1 flu infections, it said in a statement today. This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 220.

The new patients comprise 11 local cases and 15 imported cases.

Of the local cases, two were Butter Factory patrons, two attended church camp at the Fishermen of Christ Church, two are full-time NS men at Maju Camp, and five unlinked cases. The five unlinked cases comprise four females and one male aged 18 to 22 years old.

Among the imported cases, four had travel history to the Philippines, four to Australia, three to Hong Kong, two to the US, one to the UK and one to New Zealand.

Those who are travelling overseas should check the MOH website for the latest updates and the list of countries with confirmed H1N1 cases so that they can make considered decisions on whether to proceed with their trip.
