The Health Ministry has confirmed 50 new cases of H1N1, it said in a statement yesterday. This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 365.

In addition to these 50 new cases, 48 other cases were pending investigation.

Of these 98 cases, 45 have been investigated, and they comprise 32 local cases, and 13 imported cases.

The remaining 53 cases are still being investigated. There is a new cluster of three cases at Pulau Tekong Camp, all of whom are full-time national servicemen. Another four cases were detected at Maju camp.

Of the new local cases, five were Butter Factory patrons, eight were from Republic Polytechnic, and one from Fishermen of Christ Church.

Those who are travelling overseas should check the MOH website for the latest updates and the list of countries with confirmed H1N1 cases so that they can make considered decisions on whether to proceed with their trip.
