Singapore has confirmed 89 new cases of Influenza A (H1N1-2009), bringing the tally to 454 confirmed cases.

In addition to these 89 new cases, 53 other cases were pending investigation yesterday.

The 34 new local cases comprise 10 new cases in the Republic Polytechnic cluster and seven new cases in the Maju Camp cluster.

There are also two new cases in the Tekong Cluster and both are full-time national servicemen.

In addition, there is a new cluster from an NUS Orientation Camp comprising three new cases and one previously unlinked case.

In view of the increasing number of H1N1 cases, the Ministry of Health would like to remind all ti exercise good hygiene practices, such as covering the mouth with a tissue when coughing and sneezing.

Those who are unwell are encouraged to see a doctor and to stay away from work, school or crowded places.
