THE Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 34 new cases of Influenza A (H1N1), bringing the total number of flu cases in Singapore to 1003.

MOH said that although the current strain remains mild except for situations where high-risk individuals with underlying medical conditions might face complications and even death.

The Ministry urges the public to be personally responsible and observe good personal hygiene at all times.

If unwell with flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose), the public is advised to promptly seek medical attention from doctors at the nearest Pandemic Preparedness Clinic, polyclinics or the usual GPs.
