SINGAPORE - TWO more local cases of H1N1 have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the Ministry of Health (MOH) said Sunday.

According to the MOH's website, one patient is a 61-year-old Chinese man with a medical history of heart disease, while the other is a 14-year-old Indian boy with a medical history of asthma and epilepsy.

Both are currently on ventilators and in critical condition.

The Chinese man was admitted to SGH's isolation ward on July 23 after one week of cough, sore throat and running nose.

He was transferred to the ICU because of breathlessness. Laboratory tests confirmed he has Influenza A (H1N1-2009).

The Indian boy was admitted to NUH's isolation ward on July 24 after having fever for two days followed by three episodes of seizures and was later transferred to ICU.
