SUNGAI PETANI, MALAYSIA: Firemen had to use a truck to take a man weighing 250kg out of his house in Taman Petani Jaya, here yesterday.

Sources said the family of the man, in his 40s, called for an ambulance from Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for him to get treatment for diabetes.

However, the hospital team could not carry the man and had to seek help from the Fire and Rescue Department.

Sources said the man was eventually taken from his bungalow with the help of firemen and sent to the hospital in the truck because his body was too big to fit into the ambulance.

The man's family barred the media from taking pictures of him being lifted.
