THE suspension on the import and sale of 'Julie's' brand of biscuit products has been lifted with immediate effect, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) said in a statement on Tuesday.

All new batches of 'Julie's' brand of biscuit products, manufactured on or after 2 December 2008, will be allowed to be imported into Singapore, the statement said.

The date of manufacture must be clearly stated on the product labels. A health certificate and a laboratory report to show that the products are not contaminated with melamine must also accompany each imported consignment.
